Aave is currently trading at $122.74 on February 20, 2026, marking a 0.37% intraday gain. The 24-hour trading volume reached $304.87 million, down 17.87% from the previous day, while the past week saw a 10.51% price increase from $122.68, according to CoinMarketCap data.
Monitoring On-Chain Activity and Volumes
In X post, Crypto analysts have flagged a critical technical development: the $150 level, once support, now serves as resistance. AltCryptoTalk notes that if AAVE fails to break this threshold convincingly, the token could resume its bearish trend, potentially testing support near $70.
Historical price charts show a consistent downtrend since late 2024, with repeated lower highs and lower lows, reflecting a sustained market correction from highs above $400.
Current trading positions the coin just below the $130–$150 resistance zone, historically a strong area for selling pressure. Short-term projections indicate a possible retracement toward this resistance before renewed downward movement. Analysts caution that failure to surpass $150 may continue the downtrend, with the $50–$80 support zone serving as a critical floor for buyers.
This technical outlook underscores the volatility investors may face in the coming weeks. Traders are advised to monitor on-chain activity, trading volumes, and broader DeFi market trends to gauge potential entry points and risk exposure.
Grayscale Files S-1 for Aave ETF Conversion
In parallel, Grayscale Investments filed a Form S-1 registration with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to convert its Aave trust into an exchange-traded fund (ETF).
The proposed Grayscale Aave Trust ETF, to trade under ticker “GAVE” on NYSE Arca, would allow investors regulated exposure to AAVE without directly holding the tokens.
The filing specifies a 2.5% management fee, with Coinbase acting as custodian and prime broker for safekeeping and trading operations.
If approved, this ETF would bridge DeFi assets and traditional capital markets, offering enhanced liquidity, tighter tracking to net asset value, and improved investor protections.
